  • Raimondi’s Terex Rough Terrain set to present the TRT 55US, engineered primarily for the North American markets
  • Optimized mobility, improved load chart, and advanced control system amongst some of the key features of the new model
  • Raimondi North America, the new operations hub, aims at strengthening the Group’s footprint in the US market

Terex Rough Terrain, now part of the Raimondi Group, is set to present the TRT 55US at CONEXPO 2026; engineered to meet North American operational, regulatory, and environmental requirements.

This marks the first product debut under the Raimondi North America banner; the newly established US entity led by Andreas Ernst in his role of President.

Designed and developed in Italy by the Terex Rough Terrain team, and shaped by customer insights gleaned from the American market, the new 55t model builds upon the proven engineering foundations of the Terex’s range now fully integrated within the Raimondi portfolio.

The model, featuring a compact design that facilitates transport, an additional jib configuration for greater versatility, and a redesigned operator environment, aims at improving performance, precision, and long-cycle efficiency.

The machine boasts a 55t lifting capacity and a maximum jib length of 122.7 ft, supported by three telescoping boom mode for enhanced operational flexibility; the third mode, a distinctive feature of Terex Rough Terrain models, is the Proportional Telescoping Boom mode, designed to simplify operator workflows.

Reaching a maximum tip height of 130ft with the main boom, the TRT 55US may be equipped with an additional 26.25ft jib, thereby extending the maximum tip height to 157.5 ft for demanding lifting applications.

Among its key advancements, the TRT 55US features optimized mobility for off-road conditions, improved load chart performance across the full working radius, and enhanced stability through upgraded control and monitoring systems. The machine is engineered to support demanding duty cycles typical of energy, infrastructure, and industrial construction applications across North America.

“This model reflects a focused engineering effort to align with North American performance expectations, safety standards, and application requirements,” said Ernst. “The new generation of rough terrains introduces a modern design approach built around high-quality components and advanced systems such as TEOS and T-Link, further elevating control, monitoring, and operational efficiency.” Another key system integration is IdeaLift, which increases jobsite versatility by maximizing the load chart through the use of asymmetric outriggers.

The TRT 55US will stand as one of the central highlights of the Raimondi Group’s presence at CONEXPO 2026, where the company will present its consolidated lifting ranges for the first time.

“As the rough terrain cranes represent a new product category within the Raimondi’s portfolio, this launch reinforces the Group’s technical and industrial expansion following the acquisition of Terex’s key lifting segments,” stated Luigi Maggioni, Group CEO, Raimondi.

Headed by Raimondi Group CEO, a joint delegation from Terex Tower Cranes, Terex Rough Terrain Cranes, and Raimondi executives will be onsite for the entire duration of the event, giving visitors the opportunity to discover the new model and explore the full range at Stand F18012 in the outdoor exhibition area.
