Raimondi Cranes, represented by CEO, Luigi Maggioni, participated at the latest CECE meeting alongside key crane sector manufacturers. Raimondi’s ongoing membership in CECE’s proceedings looks to strengthen the company’s involvement in the organization, representing and promoting the European construction equipment industry.
Held at Manitowoc Crane Group headquarters in Lyon, France on March 7, 2024, the event brought together industry leaders from companies including Wolffkran, Comansa, Jaso, Liebherr, Terex, and Stafford Soima, to delve into global market trends and the latest European regulations on crane safety.
The Committee of European Construction Equipment serves as a valuable platform for industry leaders to collaborate, share expertise, insights, and knowledge on several crucial topics.
Despite the construction industry presenting signs of recession in 2023, highlights from the meeting were the positive results of the tower crane sector over the past year. Up by 16%, the increase was reportedly due to demand from countries such as Turkey, while various countries in the Middle East and North America are expected to boost crane sector activity in the coming years.
With safety a paramount priority in the construction industry, the group discussed the importance of ensuring the best practices in terms of machinery and jobsite safety, highlighting the necessity to enhance and implement European safety norms by 2026.
