Raimondi Cranes SpA, established in 1863, today announced the appointment of Bennetts Cranes Limited (Bennetts) as the official Raimondi Cranes agent of Great Britain. Founded in 2008 by Managing Director Edward Seager, Bennetts is based in Sharpness, Gloucestershire, and will commence representing Raimondi Cranes as of August 2016.
“The appointment of Bennetts as the official agent of Raimondi Cranes in England, Scotland and Wales, is essentially a strengthening of an existing relationship between the two companies. Previously, as a Raimondi client, Bennetts has been integral in positioning the manufacture’s tower and luffing cranes on key British project sites. We’re certain that representation by Bennetts, a highly reputable and respected construction industry pillar, will facilitate our strategy for market share growth in England,” commented Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, Group CEO, KBW Investments.
“Raimondi is a long established and well known tower crane manufacturer. The recent substantial investment in production facilities – and in significantly increasing the engineering resources of the company – means that modern, well-engineered cranes are available with prompt delivery dates at affordable prices. We believe this is an attractive product offering both for our own fleet and to sell to our customers,” said Seager, remarking on the Bennetts appointment. Currently, Bennetts boasts almost 70 cranes on various jobsites, including the Raimondi LR60 luffing crane at Great Scotland Yard. Over the past three years, Bennetts has worked with construction companies and contractors of note, including U.K.-based Balfour Beatty plc, Irish contractor John Sisk & Son, and Bouygues Construction.
The appointment of Bennetts follows the successful launch of two new Raimondi models, the LR213 and the MRT159. The LR213 luffing crane was released by Raimondi in early July and promptly fulfilled commitments of five seperate pre-orders across three continents. The MRT159 tower crane was unveiled during Turkey’s ANKOMAK 2016. The MRT159, with a 65 meter jib length and a maximum tip load of 1,650 kg, boasts a maxium load of 10,000 kg. Deliveries of the MRT159 began in July 2016.
