Edilservice Gru SA, a multi-brand rental fleet based in Lugano, Switzerland, supplied a Raimondi MRT159 for the construction of a high-end residential development in Morcote, a picturesque village on the shores of Lake Lugano, near the Swiss-Italian border.
Erected in just one day by the company’s operations team, the 8t flat-top was installed on a foundation plinth at a height of 43 meters, with a 55.5m jib, and a tip load of 2.62t in a four-fall configuration. Featuring a 45kW hoisting gear, the crane boasts a maximum lifting speed of 136m/min, supported by a drum capacity of 840m.
“We decided to rent the Raimondi MRT159 to the project contractor due to the model versatility and excellent lifting performance,” commented Michele Sabaini, Managing Director, Edilservice Gru SA.
“Given the site’s congested location, we needed a crane that ensured ease of installation and commissioning to guarantee maximum site safety and efficiency,” Sabaini added.
Renowned for its adaptability in space-constrained jobsites, one of the key features of the MRT159 is to arrive onsite with all parts pre-assembled, ropes passed, and rope connections installed, streamlining field procedures and expediting the installation process.
The MRT159 supported the construction site for a period of 24 months, dismantled during project completion.
