Clark Cranes, official Raimondi agent for Victoria and Queensland, lent a luffing Raimondi LR213 in Melbourne, Australia, for the construction of a new residential development. Upon completion, the Hawthorne Seven|Six|Five Residences will feature 11 storeys including 54 housing units, a rooftop pool, and a terrace.
“The decision to rent the LR213 to EPICON, one of the most celebrated contractors of the region, was based on several of the model’s characteristics. Due to the surrounding buildings of the jobsite, we needed a machine that avoided over-sail issues while still performing at the highest levels. Secondly, with its lifting capacity at maximum tip load of 2.25t and a hoisting winch at 75kW – designed specifically for luffing cranes, the machine has an increase speed paired with additional rope capacity. Hence, the LR213 guaranteed us to offer excellent performance moving jobsite materials quickly,” explained Michael Clark, Managing Director, Clark Cranes.
Installed by the Clark Cranes operational team together with Associated Mobile Crane experts, the 14t maximum lifting capacity luffer freestands onsite at 42m with a jib length of 28m.
“The LR213 is expected to be at work for six additional months, until completion of the project expected for Q2 of 2022. Presently, we have more than 45 Raimondi tower cranes within our fleet with most of the machines at work across the Melbourne region. However, we are looking at expanding our fleet in the upcoming months with additional heavy lifters as the market demand is reboosting,” he concluded.
