The installation of the MRT294 and MRT234 build on the company’s existing relationship with Aland Development
Official Raimondi agent of New South Wales, Australia, Strictly Cranes, installed two Raimondi flattop tower cranes in St Marys, Australia, for construction mainstay Aland Development. The Raimondi MRT294 and the Raimondi MRT234 are now at work on the New South Wales jobsite, participating in the build of a four residential building cluster.
“Our client, well-known Australian contractor Aland Development, has been a close partner to Strictly Cranes for almost a decade,” said Ramey Alkhoshaibi, Founder and Commercial Director, Strictly Cranes. Aland previously purchased three Raimondi luffing jib cranes and four of the company’s topless tower cranes.
“We completed the installation of the cranes over a two-day period. The machines, a MRT294 and a MRT234, are two of the manufacturer’s best performing models,” Alkhoshaibi said, highlighting the technical advantages of the two cranes.
Known for its considerable maximum lifting capacity of 16t and the tip load of 2.58t at maximum radius, the MRT294 is adept on medium to large scale jobsites that require precast lifting. Erected onsite with a final configuration of 40m jib and a freestanding height of 47.2m, the MRT294 is equipped with a 55kW hoist and a drum capacity of 500m, lifting at a maximum speed of 104 meters per minute (m/min).
The tower and jib configuration versatility of the MRT234 is an added plus for this type of development. Currently onsite, the crane presents a height of 37.5m and a jib length of 39.3m, equipped with a 55kW hoist lifting at a maximum speed of 120 meters m/min.
The two cranes were dismantled from a previous Aland project and redeployed on the new St. Marys site in New South Wales. “Five of Strictly Cranes installation specialists participated in the process, to facilitate a smooth and easy erection and maximizing site time,” Alkhoshaibi added. “We will regularly support the site by proving all the technical services as needed, including maintenance and breakdown work.”
The cranes, erected with a 250T mobile crane, will remain onsite for approximately 12 months. Upon completion, Carson on the Park will feature 289 residential units, lush parks, and retail space.
