Assistedile Srl expands its rental fleet with two Raimondi T87s; first unit sold for key restoration project in Vigevano, Italy.

Official agent of Raimondi for Milan, Monza and Brianza, Assistedile Srl, expands its rental fleet with two new Raimondi T87 flat-top tower cranes, both already at work on different jobsite in Northern Italy.

Installed in Q4 of 2025, the Raimondi T87 was erected onsite at a 30m height with a jib length of 51m. Part of class 110, the model represents Raimondi’s latest addition to its tower crane portfolio. The new crane is supporting the restoration and redevelopment of one of Vigevano’s heritage buildings.

“We are pleased to confirm that we are experiencing strong momentum, with several Raimondi models currently operating on major projects, alongside the recent sale of a newly-acquired T87 to Notarimpresa S.p.A., contractor of this redevelopment,” stated Luciano Friso, General Manager of Assistedile.

Designed to meet specific jobsite requirements, the T87 features lightweight structural components, six-meter jib sections for easier handling, and a modular design that facilitates transportation, rapid assembly, and efficient operations. Equipped with ConCore, Raimondi’s control system, the crane also enjoys simplified commissioning, as well as remote monitoring and assistance capabilities.

“We selected this model for its versatility and adaptability in challenging urban environments, where space constrains are a critical factor,” said Friso.

Careful site planning was required to address the tight site dimensions, together with the need to preserve the historic façade of the building. Ensuring optimal crane positioning, and precise logistics coordination, was a site planning focus to minimize and prevent disruption to surrounding areas.

“With the site located within the historic center of Vigevano, narrow streets and limited access posed significant logistical challenges during transport and assembly operations. The size of the T87 and the ease of installation were key factors we considered,” he explained.

The tip load of 1.38 t in UltraLift at 51m jib, a hoist of 22kW, the T87 is lifting at a maximum speed of 78.70m/min, ensuring the lifting performance required to support the restoration activities while maintaining efficient operations within the site restricted footprint.

The flat-top is expected to remain onsite for approximately 18 months, supporting various phases of construction. Upon completion, the mixed-use development is planned for new civic and community functions.

Significantly, Assistedile, official agent of Raimondi for more than a decade, has the majority of its fleet of over 120 Raimondi cranes deployed across job sites. The company continues to support a wide variety of construction activities with excellent service and knowledge.
