Bulk Cargo has purchased and deployed its first Terex TRT90 rough terrain crane. Sold by EWPA, official Terex dealer specialising in construction equipment rental and sale, the crane demonstrates great versatility across a wide range of jobsite applications.

EWPA has represented Terex for more than 10 years across Poland, with operations based in Komorniki, and branches in Gdańsk and Szczecin. Its full circle operation includes sales, rental, service and spare parts.

Bulk Cargo-Port Szczenic Sp. Z o.o. is the largest multipurpose port operator within the ports of Szczecin and Świnoujście in Poland, handling a diverse range of dry and liquid bulk cargo as well as general cargo. With eight quays extending approximately 2,800 metres and an annual cargo turnover of around 4.5 million tonnes, its operations require lifting equipment capable of supporting varied and demanding applications.

Unlike equipment dedicated to a single construction application, the TRT90 will operate across the port, primarily supporting the handling of steel and steel sheets, as well as lifting activities related to equipment and infrastructure maintenance.

“The compact crane dimensions, fast setup and multiple wheel-steering modes, including crab steering, allow it to manoeuvre efficiently, with high ground clearance and traction support movement across uneven surfaces. The TRT90 pick-and-carry capability enables loads to be lifted and transported directly around the port,” Grzeszczyk added.

With a maximum lifting capacity of 90t, a 47m main boom and a maximum boom tip height of 49.5m, the TRT90 provides the lifting performance and reach required for heavy duty applications, while retaining the mobility and manoeuvrability needed to relocate quickly between working areas.

To ensure maximum efficiency even during challenging and diverse weather conditions, the TRT90 features additional cabin heating, engine block heating, as well as heating for the hydraulic oil tank and fuel filters. An automatic centralised lubrication system serves both the undercarriage and upper structure, supporting efficient maintenance during regular operation.

Operator visibility is enhanced through an integrated camera system, including a winch camera, a camera positioned on the right-hand side of the upper structure, and a rear-view camera. This provides improved visibility around the machine, particularly when working in busy areas of the terminal.

Additionally, a major advantage of the TRT90 is the TEOS intuitive control system and 10-inch touchscreen. The system provides quick access to important crane information, settings and functions, with integrated diagnostic capabilities and predictive maintenance.

With the TRT90 now supporting Bulk Cargo’s day to day operations at Port Szczecin, the delivery highlights how the Terex Rough Terrain range, now part of the Raimondi Group portfolio, can bring heavy-lifting capability and mobility to demanding industrial and logistics applications beyond traditional construction sites.
