Raimondi Cranes Middle East Commercial Director, Wael Hasan, was distinguished as ‘Construction Executive of the Year’ at the 2018 Construction Innovation Awards. Joined at the gala event by company executives and senior team members, Hasan was announced as a category finalist in early October. In the ‘Construction Executive of the Year’ category, the finalists included executives from Aecom, Future Metro, and Parsons.
Nominated by the company’s Board, Hasan’s exceptional results across commercial, operational and customer satisfaction indexes prompted the submission. “As someone who has worked in the construction sector for my entire career, and specifically my years dedicated to the heavy lifting industry, being acknowledged by my peers as a finalist was absolutely one of the finest moments over the course of my professional life,” said Hasan. “This award is not just about my work, it is about my team’s work without whom this wouldn’t have been possible.”
“I would like to highlight the role of Raimondi’s clients in winning this award, as without our partnership of trust and transparency, commercial forward trajectory wouldn’t have reached the levels it has,” he added. Hasan joined Raimondi Cranes only one year ago, managing the Middle East client servicing and sales teams, and has increased Raimondi’s regional market share together considerably in addition to substantially raising the company’s on-the-ground visibility in the GCC. Initially joining the company as Commercial Manager, his numerous successes in the role prompted a promotion to the executive level of Middle East Commercial Director.
The awards ceremony, held at Habtoor Palace in Dubai, began with a speech by the CEO of the publishing Group who highlighted his company’s aim to acknowledge excellence, and thanked the judges of the event for their participation and time commitment to the judging process.
Staged annually in the UAE by Construction Business News magazine, the Construction Innovation Awards is now in its third year. The ceremony and gala dinner honours companies, individuals and projects nominated across more than 20 categories including subcontractors and consultancies.
