News: 13 May 2025

Official Raimondi agent of United Kingdom, Bennetts Cranes, deployed one Raimondi LR213 luffing jib crane for one of London’s latest luxury residential developments.

Situated in Battersea, one of the capital’s most dynamic neighbourhoods, the riverside high-rise is set to shape the city’s modern skyline.

“The deployment of this crane further solidifies our partnership with Ghelamco, the project contractor. Notably, the Polish real estate developer, with a growing footprint across Europe, selected the Raimondi LR213 for their second project in the country – just as they did for their very first UK development,” highlighted Edward Seager, Managing Director, Bennetts Cranes.

Chosen for meeting the demanding requirements of urban construction sites, the LR213-14t offers great lifting capacity and flexibility, facilitating the efficient handling of heavy materials and components, streamlining the construction process and enhancing site safety.

Erected in the first quarter of 2025, the luffer has been erected to a freestanding height of 92m with a jib length of 44.5m and a tip load of 4.51t. Installed with a 500t mobile crane, the LR213 is equipped with a 55kW hoisting winch and a drum capacity of 880m, lifting at a maximum speed up to 104 meters per minute.

“We opted for the rental of the LR213 to address the challenges of the tight and narrow jobsite location. Chosen for its ease of assembly and dismantling in confined spaces, the crane’s versatility in terms of jib’s configuration and excellent lifting performance ensured timely and safe execution while prioritizing the prevention of overflying surrounding properties,” said Seager, concluding that the 17.6m out-of-service radius also provided the flexibility needed in this tight setting.

The crane will remain onsite for approximately two years, until project completion.

The 24-storey residential tower, one of London’s regeneration projects, is planned to feature 113 units, a rooftop garden and premium-class amenities.
